What to ExpectWe know that choosing a church family can be a tough decision. You may be looking to find a place to develop life-long friendships and relationships; or for a relevant message addressing concerns in your life; or maybe you are looking for a church that has ministries for everyone in your family. Whatever you are looking for, we believe we can be an encouragement to you and your entire family no matter where you are in life's journey. If you are looking for a church family, join us for one of our dynamic worship services. We look forward to meeting you. When you arrive...once inside, you will be welcomed by our ushers who will direct you to the sanctuary as well as answer any questions you may have. In addition, they will offer to show you our adult classrooms or our student/children's sunday school areas. If you have a baby or small children…you are welcome to bring your infant and small children into the sanctuary. We also encourage you to take advantage of our supervised nursery with skilled and loving caregivers. As you enter the Sanctuary…ushers are available to assist you should you have any questions or special needs regarding seating or other general questions. Should special needs arise during the service, feel free to go to an usher to request assistance. As a first-time visitor to First Baptist Church of Honea Path you are our guest. During each service...we welcome our first time guests . We won't put you on the spot or call you to the front. We will provide you with a Sunday bulletin which has a designated place for your any information you would like to provide. Please place this information in the offering plate or leave on your pew and ushers will pick it up after the service. Our worship services...offer three opportunities for you to worship: 8:30 a.m. Traditional Service, 10:30 a.m. Contemporary Service and 6:00 p.m. Evening Service. The Contemporary Service will incorporate a band-driven and choir worship. You'll hear both current and traditional hymns recreaqted in a new way to allow the songs of faith to be sung in a way that is relevant to today's society. The sermon is delivered by Pastor Mike Moody. Our Choir and Band are under the direction of Rev. Sam Dickerson, Minister of Music. |
